Attention The British Professor, John Birchall is Impressed with the CADS Program In an Email sent to us 1/31/02, John Birchall wrote: Thank you very much for your most interesting email. I am not certain how you came by my details but I am pleased that we have made contact. I have known Sierra Leone for over 30 years and will do everything I can to help it develop. I last visited in August/September, 2001. My articles on my experiences can be found on www.bized.ac.uk/Intheknow/Development. As an academic I am prepared to help in any way I can. Already I am trying to bring together Sierra Leoneans living in the UK to discuss the future paths open to Sierra Leone. Also, I am a leading figure in IT and Business Education. I have approached both Prof. Strasser King and Victor King at Fourah bay College to see if we can collaborate in developing IT based teaching methods. I have also told the British Council of my desire to help. My private interest is primary health care and the use of teachers/children to act as peer educators. In this part of my professional life I often supply articles for the magazine West Africa. Let's hope we can develop a meaningful working relationship, for I feel we are thinking along similar lines. Best wishes: John Birchall.
