Our Projects

The Seeds Multiplication Farms Project for Rehabilitation, Consolidation and Expansion of the Agricultural Sector

The Seed Multiplication Farms Project is an emergency farming strategy to cultivate swamp and upland rice, and short duration cassava and potatoes, and corn in the nine sections of Gbonkolenken Chiefdom generally aimed at multiplying seeds, cuttings and vines to meet the needs of the farming communities of Petifu Mayawa, Yele Manorwa, Mayepoh, Upper Masakong, Upper Poli, Lower Poli and Yaeben during subsequent seasons.

Volunteers for Humanity
A project that promotes, support and encourages international volunteering that seeks to foster the great desire to learn more about Sierra Leone and her culture, with a serious intent to discover her way of life. The project promotes volunteering values, open access to information, intellectual freedom and international understanding.

International Administration of Researchers for Responsible Journalism

A project that carries out various programs and that does much more by helping to build the structure of Sierra Leone's national character and her democracy and that fosters international understanding contributing to the advancement of world peace. Most significantly, the project fosters the concept of responsible journalism as an essential ingredient in democracies.

CADS Artisanal Fisheries Support Project

The Project assists in the implementation of lines of credit to the artisanal fishery sector. And it promotes optimum utilization of fish resources and the reduction of post harvest losses. Its main strategies are improved handling and storage of fish, and improved processing and preservation, i.e. improved smoked fish processing techniques.

CADS Project for Disabled

A project designed to alleviate the neglected and miserable plight faced by the disabled especially polio victims in the country through the provision of assistance on the key issues of vocational/academic training, food, shelter, clothing and medicare to make them useful citizens to enable them participate actively in rebuilding Sierra Leone.

CADS Rural Bakeries Project

A project to help rural communities to be self-reliant and to also help increase food production of bread and local confectioneries in the rural areas as close substitute to the staple food, rice. There is already an existing pilot project at Fabaina in the Koya Rural District of Newton, though affected by the May 25, 1997 and January/February, 1999 military chaos in Sierra Leone.

Immigration consultancy and Facilitation Services

A project that informs about visa application processes which vary from one country and the other accompanied by many policies, rules and procedures that change frequently. The project collates current knowledge of immigration policy changes for one country and the other which enables the center to properly serve the interest of members.

At CADS we are committed to the people who work with us and who live mostly in rural communities. We do this by working in partnership with them to identify and prioritize needs in education, skills development, and our rural development projects. It is our way of creating a balance through shared opportunities which make for a brighter future. Creating a Balance.
